Acetone is considered an exempt VOC, strong, fast evaporating solvent used for thinning and cleaning fiberglass resins, epoxies, vinyls, lacquers and adhesives. Acetone may be used as needed for reducing Mohawk's Ultra Penetrating Stains (M520). It may also be used with Mohawk's Wood Tone Wiping Stains (M530) and all 550 and 275 VOC compliant Finishes if reduced no more than 20%. Acetone will not contribute any additional VOC's to products.
